Softball Preview: Southern Trojans vs. Bullitt Central Cougars

The Southern Trojans are on the road again on Wednesday to play the Bullitt Central Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Southern will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Southern can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Monday. They put the hurt on Western with a sharp 21-1 victory. While fans of Southern might be used to big wins, the 20-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Alyssa Smallwood made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Smallwood was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Southern let Ella Davis and Morghan Dunn loose on the outfield.
