Basketball Recap: Churubusco Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Churubusco lost against Westview back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Churubusco Eagles received a blow as they fell 52-33 to the Westview Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Warriors are ranked 129th).

Despite the loss, Churubusco still got an impressive performance from Brayden Bianski, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Hartsock, who posted nine points.

Churubusco's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8. As for Westview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Churubusco has already played their next game, a 46-34 defeat against Angola on the 24th. As for Westview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-38 win against Garrett on the 18th.
