Volleyball Recap: Whale Branch Takes a Loss

Whale Branch was the 3-0 winner over Edisto when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Warriors' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Whale Branch actually scored more points across those five sets (102-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 13-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-12.

Whale Branch's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Edisto, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Whale Branch will take on rival Lake Marion at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Edisto is set to square off against their familiar foe Bridges Prep at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
