Softball Recap: Plato Extends Winning Streak to Three

Plato had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Licking Wildcats. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Plato's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Licking, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plato will head out to take on Strafford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.48 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Licking, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cabool at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
