Softball Recap: Metcalfe County Comes Up Short

Metcalfe County fell victim to Russell County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Lakers, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in April.

Metcalfe County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Russell County, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Coincidentally, Metcalfe County and Russell County will both be playing Monroe County the next time they take the field. The Lakers will host the Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hornets will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
