Basketball Recap: Bryant Triumphs

Bryant's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They walked away with a 75-64 win over the Zachary Broncos.

Rj Young had another great game (as he tends to do), dropping a double-double with 30 points and 11 boards. His afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Camarion Bead, who posted 20 points and six rebounds.

Bryant was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Zachary only posted three.

Despite the loss, Zachary still got an impressive performance from Ian Edmond, who went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 32 points. Edmond has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Cambren Price was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bryant's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Zachary, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 11 games and leaves them with a 15-2 record.

Coming up, Bryant and Windermere Prep will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The Hornets will need to watch out since the Lakers have now posted at least 55 points in their last nine contests. As for Zachary, they will challenge Wossman at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
