Softball Recap: Seven Straight Road Victories for Tri-Valley

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tri-Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Gayville-Volin Raiders 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since May 4, 2024.

Tri-Valley pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Gayville-Volin, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tri-Valley will face off against Beresford at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Gayville-Volin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Viborg/Hurley on Saturday.
