Football Recap: Terre Haute South Vigo Comes Up Short at Home Against Plainfield

Terre Haute South Vigo unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 31-7 to the Plainfield Quakers on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their meetings with the Quakers: they've now lost three in a row.

Maddox Woodcock threw for 77 yards and one touchdown. Mayson Lewis was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.

Leading Plainfield to victory were Luke Starnes and Bryce Sebanc. Starnes gained 144 total yards and three touchdowns, while Sebanc threw for 236 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes. Those 236 passing yards gave Sebanc a new career-high.

Coming up, Terre Haute South Vigo will challenge Kokomo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Plainfield, they will face off against Harrison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
