Laughlin strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Beaver Dam Diamondback by a score of 45-38. The score was all tied up 16-16 at the break, but the Cougars were the better team in the second half.

Laughlin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Israel Trejo, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 14 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Trejo is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Aidan Trinidad was another key player, shooting 42% from the field en route to 13 points and five boards.

Laughlin's record now sits at 3-0. As for Beaver Dam, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Laughlin will head out to square off against Awaken Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Beaver Dam, they will venture away from home to face off against Fredonia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
