Basketball Recap: Olympic's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Olympic had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They strolled past the Orting Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 63-49. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Cardinals are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olympic's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Orting, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Olympic will head out to challenge Bremerton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bremerton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Olympic likes a good challenge. As for Orting, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Franklin Pierce at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin Pierce is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.4 points per game this season.
