Spring Lake and Hamilton are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Lakers will take on the Hawkeyes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Lake will be strutting in after a win while Hamilton will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Spring Lake earned a 48-36 victory over Zeeland East. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Lakers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Chix are ranked 292nd).

Meanwhile, Hamilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 39-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of Zeeland West.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Spring Lake, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Spring Lake strolled past Hamilton in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 41-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lakers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
