Basketball Game Preview: Baker Spartans vs. Colstrip Colts

The Baker Spartans will head out to face off against the Colstrip Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baker knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Colstrip likes a good challenge.

Last Saturday, everything came up roses for Baker against Lodge Grass as the team secured a 77-50 win. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Colstrip was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 61-56 to Lodge Grass. The Colts haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Baker is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43 points. As for Colstrip, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything came up roses for Baker against Colstrip when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured an 81-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baker since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
