Volleyball Game Preview: South Gate Rams vs. Marquez Gladiators

South Gate has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Marquez has won five straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Rams will host the Gladiators at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

South Gate barely beat Orthopaedic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Vipers 3-0 on Friday.

One reason for the win was South Gate's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Marquez had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Diego Rivera on Wednesday.

Marquez got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 28-30, 28-26.

South Gate's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Marquez, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
