Baseball Recap: Mills University Studies Comes Up Short

Mills University Studies extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 14-12. They lost 10-0 to the Fountain Lake Cobras. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cobras this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 23-2 on April 10th.

As for Fountain Lake, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. The result was nothing new for the Cobras, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Fountain Lake's part, Nathan Noernberg was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Noernberg a new career-high. Cole George also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Looking ahead, Mills University Studies will square off against McCrory at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fountain Lake, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bauxite at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
