Soccer Game Preview: Kentridge vs. Kentwood

Kentridge hasn't had much luck against Kentwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chargers will challenge the Conquerors at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Kentridge is headed into the game having not lost since March 25 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Kennedy Catholic get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. Kentridge wouldn't have won without Emmanuel Enosa, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Kentwood has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They and Mt. Rainier finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Wednesday. That draw made it three straight for Kentwood.

Kentridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. Kentwood's draw makes their record 0-5-6 this season.

Kentridge was able to grind out a solid win over Kentwood when the teams last played back in March, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
