Volleyball Game Preview: Segerstrom Jaguars vs. Valencia Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Segerstrom Jaguars face off against Valencia Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Segerstrom has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Valencia will arrive with 12 straight wins.

Segerstrom managed to slip by Garden Grove the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Segerstrom lost 3-0 to Garden Grove on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Jaguars have suffered against the Argonauts since April 29, 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Valencia got the win against Laguna Hills on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Valencia's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. As for Segerstrom, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
