Basketball Recap: Toms River East Takes a Loss

Toms River East was the 40-27 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Toms River East Raiders took a 54-38 bruising from the Liberty Lions on Thursday.

Toms River East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Liberty, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Toms River East will venture away from home to face off against Toms River South at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Liberty, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Neptune at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
