Sam Houston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Terry Brock, who scored 23 points along with three steals, and Rylan Austin who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Sam Houston has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 19 of their last 20 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-26 record this season. As for Grand Prairie, their win bumped their record up to 18-16.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sam Houston will square off against Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington is on a three-game streak of home losses, Sam Houston a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Grand Prairie, they will head out on the road to square off against Haltom at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Haltom is coming into the contest with nine straight defeats at home, meaning Grand Prairie will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
