Soccer Game Preview: Easley vs. Hillcrest

The Easley Green Wave will head out on the road to challenge the Hillcrest Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Easley will head out to face Hillcrest after giving up their first home loss of the season last Thursday. Easley took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mauldin. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Easley couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest faced J.L. Mann in a battle between two of the state's top teams last Thursday. Hillcrest lost 3-0 to J.L. Mann. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Hillcrest it sure didn't stay that way.

This is the second loss in a row for Hillcrest and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Easley, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-2.

Easley couldn't quite get it done against Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in April of 2016 as they fell 3-1. Can Easley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
