Volleyball Recap: Sophia Davis Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat East Bladen

While North Duplin's win against East Bladen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rebels sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Eagles on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

North Duplin was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Duplin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Davis, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs gave Davis a new career-high.

North Duplin's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for East Bladen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Coming up, North Duplin will host Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bladen, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against South Columbus on the 29th.
