Basketball Recap: Mid Valley Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Mid Valley was the 50-40 winner over Old Forge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mid Valley Spartans took a 41-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Old Forge Blue Devils. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly five points.

When it comes to explaining why Mid Valley lost on Thursday, don't look at Demaja Dunston. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 14 en route to 19 points and three steals. That's the most points Dunston has posted since back in February of 2024. Landon Pratt was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 10 points.

Mid Valley's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7. As for Old Forge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Mid Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-36 victory against Lakeland on the 20th. Old Forge has also already played their next contest (against Dunmore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
