Recap: North Port Bobcats vs. Bradenton Christian Panthers
Even though the Bradenton Christian Panthers scored an imposing 68 points on Friday, the North Port Bobcats still came out on top. North Port managed a 74-68 win over Bradenton Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Port.
North Port got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Lubsey out in front who scored 32 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Lubsey has scored at least 25% of North Port's points. Another player making a difference was Brennen Ingle, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
North Port's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Bradenton Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Port has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Venice at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. Venice will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while North Port is ranked 170th). Bradenton Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Sarasota Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
