Basketball Recap: Mount Desert Island Takes a Loss

Mount Desert Island was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 38-31 to the Washington Academy Raiders. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly seven points.

Mount Desert Island's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Washington Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Desert Island will host John Bapst Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Washington Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Presque Isle at 3:30 p.m.
