Volleyball Recap: Holly's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Holly duked it out with Bethune on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bobcats. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 victory the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Holly was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 23-25, 25-15.

Lillian Parker paced Holly's offense, picking up 11 kills. Parker got some help from Luci Schwab and her 20 assists. Schwab also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allison Rushton, each putting up six.

With the win, Holly broke their five-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Bethune, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Holly didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] on the 18th. As for Bethune, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Otis on the 16th.
