Pittsfield is 9-0-1 against Wahconah Regional since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Generals will welcome the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Pittsfield's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Wahconah Regional's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Pittsfield and Taconic meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Generals won by a run and slipped past the Thunder 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted since June 11, 2024.

Meanwhile, Wahconah Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-5 to Monument Mountain. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Spartans since on Thursday.

Aidan Hagmaier was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was James Rabuse, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pittsfield's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Wahconah Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Pittsfield was able to grind out a solid win over Wahconah Regional in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 6-1. Will the Generals repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
