Grosse Pointe South was handed a heart-breaking three-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Anchor Bay on Friday. The Blue Devils breezed past the Tars to the tune of 42-14. Considering the Blue Devils have won six contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sam Rouleau was his usual excellent self, rushing for 56 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries, while also throwing for 176 yards and one touchdown while completing 86.7% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 145.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August. Andrew Wilson was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one TD.

Grosse Pointe South's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Aj Zieleniewski refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Grosse Pointe South got some further help from Zieleniewski: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Grosse Pointe South's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Anchor Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
