Basketball Game Preview: First Baptist Crusaders vs. North Metro Blazers

First Baptist is 0-7 against North Metro since January of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The First Baptist Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Metro Blazers at 7:30 p.m.

Last Friday, First Baptist didn't have quite enough to beat Fourth Baptist Christian and fell 55-53.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jon Anaya, who went 7 of 11 en route to 16 points and six boards. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Jared Dudek was another key player, putting up seven points and 13 rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Metro, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in November of 2024. They enjoyed a cozy 59-43 victory over SWCHA S on January 3rd.

First Baptist now has a losing record at 8-9. As for North Metro, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

First Baptist came up short against North Metro in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 68-55. Can First Baptist avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
