Softball Recap: Kimball Cubs vs. Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers
Kimball took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Lakers. That's more bragging rights for Kimball, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
For Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted's part, Lakelyn J was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Rykel Krzmarzick, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
