Baseball Game Preview: Capital Cougars vs. Riverside Warriors

The Capital Cougars will venture away from home to take on the Riverside Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Capital is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Capital took on PikeView on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 8-1 to the Panthers.

Capital saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Smith, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Riverside was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They fell 3-0 to Winfield. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Generals recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Capital's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Riverside, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-19.

Capital might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Riverside in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
