Football Game Preview: Dawson Eagles vs. Ridge Point Panthers + How To Watch

The Dawson Eagles will face off against the Ridge Point Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Dawson's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.

Dawson is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Manvel just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks.

Dawson might have lost, but man, Corey Brown was a machine: he rushed for 43 yards and three scores. Luke Brown helped out on the ground, rushing for 119 yards.

Meanwhile, Ridge Point strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Fort Bend Austin 70-22. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 950th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dawson better keep an eye on Brody Bartee. He was instrumental in Ridge Point's win, throwing for 279 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Those 279 passing yards gave Bartee a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Akins, who rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

Dawson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Ridge Point, their win bumped their record up to 10-0.
