Basketball Recap: Del Sol Takes a Loss

Del Sol lost against Green Valley back in December of 2014 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Del Sol Dragons were beaten by the Green Valley Gators 73-33. The Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

It was another big night for Gaston Zumaya, who went 9 of 12 en route to 22 points for Green Valley. With that strong performance, Zumaya is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jorden Smith, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Del Sol's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Green Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Del Sol didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-53 win against Lake Mead Christian Academy on the 3rd. As for Green Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-48 victory against Silver Valley on the 3rd.
