Softball Recap: Wilson Triumphs

Wilson's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the East Aurora Blue Devils 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Lakemen: when they faced off against the Blue Devils back in April, they had to take a 12-1 loss.

Riley Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucy Madan, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times she's played. Mackenzie Hardy was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Wilson's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for East Aurora, their record is now 10-9.

As of now, neither Wilson nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
