Baseball Recap: Crockett County Comes Up Short

Crockett County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the South Gibson Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Monday.

Crockett County now has a losing record of 10-11. As for South Gibson, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Crockett County will take on rival Dyersburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South Gibson is set to challenge their familiar foe Dyer County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
