Volleyball Recap: Avon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Providence

Avon had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Providence Pioneers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Orioles have suffered since September 5, 2024.

While Avon ultimately came up short, they really made Providence work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-22.

Coming up, Avon will challenge Castle at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Providence, they will welcome Lawrence North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
