The Southeast Pirates will face off against the United Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southeast is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Southeast is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over Brookfield on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Morgan Muncy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Muncy was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Southeast let Lilly Hayes and Ava Stephens run wild. Hayes went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Stephens went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Bragg, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Southeast was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, United suffered their biggest defeat since May 1, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 16-6 to Columbiana. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for United, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-3.
