The Randolph Ghosts will head out on the road to take on the Harwood Highlanders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Randolph is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.

Randolph is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: U-32, who was ranked 13th at the time (Randolph was ranked 20th). The Ghosts came up short against the Raiders on Tuesday, falling 21-2. The Ghosts' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Randolph saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jenny Ciampi, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Harwood lost 22-5 to Lake Region on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Highlanders in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Lily Adair was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Cally Young also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

The defeat was their first at home, dropping their record down to 6-2. As for Harwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Harwood's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Randolph hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. It's a different story for Harwood, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Randolph's hitters?

Randolph got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Harwood by a conclusive 16-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ghosts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
