Volleyball Recap: North Broward Prep's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

North Broward Prep was the 3-2 winner over Pine Crest when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Yasmin Dias Tonon paced North Broward Prep's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dias Tonon got some help from Emma Luehrs and her 23 assists. Jayda Palumbo controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pine Crest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylee Foreman, who had nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces Foreman has posted over her last five matchups. Another player making a difference was Isabella Collado, who had 16 assists and six digs.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Broward Prep fell to 12-1. As for Pine Crest, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

North Broward Prep has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Divine Savior Academy on the 20th. As for Pine Crest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Jupiter on the 20th.
