Recap: Fairwinds Christian Knights vs. Concord Christian Academy Minutemen
The Fairwinds Christian Knights lost against the Concord Christian Academy Minutemen back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Fairwinds Christian was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Concord Christian Academy. Fairwinds Christian has not had much luck with Concord Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Fairwinds Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaiden Rajis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Rajis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Mccloud HS, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Concord Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Carlin Hollis - Homeschool, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hollis - Homeschool has scored all season. Keavon Bailey - Homeschool was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Fairwinds Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Concord Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairwinds Christian will take on Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Concord Christian Academy, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Calvary Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 25th. Calvary Christian Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
