Baseball Recap: La Vernia Drops Highest Score of Season Against Madison

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask La Vernia). They skirted past the Madison Mavericks 11-10. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 last Friday.

The team relied heavily on Brennan Little, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Vincent Capparelli was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

La Vernia's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Madison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
