Soccer Recap: Kickapoo Falls Short Against Ranked Nixa

Kickapoo faced Nixa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Chiefs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Kickapoo couldn't quite close it out.

Kickapoo's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Nixa, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Kickapoo will face off against Pembroke Hill at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Nixa, they will head out on the road to take on Glendale at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
