Ubly had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Memphis on Monday. The Bearcats blew past the Yellowjackets 11-1. The Bearcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Brayden Franzel made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Collin Franzel and Logan Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Collin went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Johnson went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Franzel is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Wyatt Schumacher was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

The win was the ninth in a row for Ubly, bringing their record up to 18-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Memphis, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Ubly will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
