Basketball Game Recap: Pike Valley Panthers vs. Natoma Tigers

Pike Valley won the last time they faced Natoma, and Andrew Cooper did his part to make sure it happened again. The Pike Valley Panthers blew past the Natoma Tigers 56-19 on Friday thanks in part to Cooper, who went 11 of 14 en route to 22 points and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pike Valley's points.

Ezra Benne was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals. Those four steals gave him a new career-high.

Pike Valley's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Natoma, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Thunder Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th. Natoma also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Stockton at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Natoma is facing Stockton at the right time seeing as Stockton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
