Basketball Recap: Hope Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hope Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the First Coast Christian Knights and fell 59-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 49-38 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Hope Christian Academy lost, don't look at Addyson Wilson. Despite the final result, she posted 16 points and five steals. That was a full 53.3% of Hope Christian Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Skylar Hudson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for First Coast Christian, putting up 41 points. The match was Hudson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Naomi Davis, who had six points.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for First Coast Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Hope Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-34 loss against Northside Christian Academy on the 9th. As for First Coast Christian, they will face off against Eagle's View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
