Basketball Recap: Caston Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Caston had won two straight games and Logan Mollenkopf did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Comets enjoyed a cozy 60-43 victory over the Frontier Falcons with plenty of help from Mollenkopf, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 15 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Caston's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Sommers, who posted nine points and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Caston's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Caston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-50 defeat against West Central on the 17th. As for Frontier, they have also already played their next matchup, a 60-56 victory against Tipton on the 17th.
