Soccer Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss

After flying high against Burrell on Thursday, Freeport came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets fell 4-2 to the Shady Side Academy Bulldogs on Monday. Freeport haven't had much luck with Shady Side Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Freeport's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1. As for Shady Side Academy, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Freeport is set to square off against their familiar foe Leechburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Shady Side Academy will face off against rival Deer Lakes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
