Hayden came tearing into Friday's match with 13 straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48.2 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Salome Frogs to the tune of 52-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lobos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Tyler Garner and Kino Lorona. Garner rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries while Lorona rushed for 182 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Those 191 rushing yards gave Garner a new career-high.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Salome, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Hayden will host Joseph City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Salome, they will head out on the road to challenge Fort Thomas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
