Charlevoix is 9-1 against Kalkaska since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Charlevoix Rayders will challenge the Kalkaska Blazers at 7:00 p.m.

Charlevoix is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Boyne City just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 56-45 to the Ramblers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rayders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Ramblers are ranked 376th).

Meanwhile, Kalkaska was able to grind out a solid win over Kingsley on Friday, taking the game 47-40.

Kalkaska's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Charlevoix, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Everything went Charlevoix's way against Kalkaska in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as Charlevoix made off with a 60-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Charlevoix since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
