League recap: Thompson scores huge upset over Chelsea

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Thompson, who took down 91st ranked Chelsea, 25-23.

Kamryn Pettway of Prattville ran for the longest rushing play in 6A Region 4 this season against Spain Park last week. Pettway scampered for 57 yards on the play and finished with 189 on the day as his team lost to the Jaguars.

Spain Park's dynamic duo of Mickey Forrest and Derek Williams proved tough for Prattville to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Forrest threw for 175 yards and Williams had 48 yards receiving. Dalton Brown helped Spain Park's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 45 yards.

Shawn Raney's team's dynamic duo of Forrest and Williams proved to be unstoppable against Chad Anderson's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Pettway provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Lions fell to the Jaguars.

Pettway was the best running back in the league this week. Kalen Whitlow also contributed to the rushing game with 23 yards on the ground.

Williams was the best receiver in the league this week as Spain Park defeated Prattville.

Forrest put up the best numbers in passing as the Jaguars beat the Lions.

Leading 6A Region 4 in both passing and receiving yards, Spain Park's Forrest and Brown have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-11 quarterback Forrest has thrown for 337 yards this season, while Brown has 5 catches for 89 yards. Pettway from Prattville leads the league in rushing with 275 yards.

The Warriors are in second place, while Pelham is in fourth place.

Wetumpka scaled the state rankings by moving to 35 from 74 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Indians were able to make move up by beating Oak Mountain 28-6.
