Basketball Recap: Decatur Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Decatur won the last time they faced Shiloh and things went their way on Friday too. The Decatur Bulldogs strolled past the Shiloh Generals with points to spare, taking the game 60-45. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Generals are ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jason Welborn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Beard, who went 5 for 7 en route to 10 points.

Decatur is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Shiloh, they dropped their record down to 7-16 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Decatur will head out to face off against Woodward Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Shiloh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamblee is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.5 points per game this season.
