Soccer Recap: Illinois Lutheran Comes Up Short

Illinois Lutheran lost against Clifton Central back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chargers lost 8-1 to the Comets. Illinois Lutheran were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 5-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Illinois Lutheran and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Clifton Central, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Illinois Lutheran will be playing in front of their home fans against Grant Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clifton Central, they are taking a road trip to take on Bishop McNamara at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
